Banjo and Fiddle is comprised of the acoustic duo and newlyweds Claire Byrne of Driftwood and Brian Vollmer (Old Time Music Party & Simmerin' Stew). They are full-time musicians (who also teach and lead workshops), who make their humble home along America's Rust Belt in Binghamton, NY. Their performance is an endearing set of older Country and Bluegrass songs, Archaic Fiddle Tunes from Rural Appalachia along with Rootsy Originals. Their interpretation of timeless American music is compelling and revealing; the show, charming.
Food by 1010 BBQ
We are wrapping up July with Jen Cork and 1010 BBQ this Wednesday July 31st from 6pm to 8pm. Jen Cork has a passion for dirt, rubble, and the intersection of nature and mechanical objects, and her emotional songwriting grows out of these timeworn landscapes. There is history in her voice and legacy in her songs. Fingerlakes Music Press praises her as "stand(ing) out among the top tier…of talented singer songwriters in the region". Come enjoy the last day of July with a glass of wine, music, and food!
Featuring Nate Marshall and Brian Vollmer
Join us at the Finger Lakes Tasting and Tap Room on Main Street in Cortland, NY to sample a fine selection of New York State cheeses and wines from Bright Leaf Vineyards. A great time to celebrate the start of Mother's Day weekend or the end of SUNY Cortland classes.
